GIS and Land Use Research Specialist
Jacob joined the Gibbs lab as research staff in the fall of 2011. Since joining, he has been helping to lead the team’s spatial and statistical analysis of tropical land use change. In particular, Jacob has been focusing on deforestation and conservation efforts related to soy and cattle production in the Brazilian Amazon. Jacob comes to the Gibbs lab with a BA in History from Brown University and a Master’s from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. In his free time, Jacob enjoys hiking and biking around the beautiful state of Wisconsin.
