Jake's work focuses on spatial and other data analysis of land-use change and conservation efforts in Brazil, particularly within the cattle industry. In his work, Jake utilizes PostgreSQL, R, Python, ArcGIS, and Git. Prior to joining the Gibbs Lab, Jake earned a BA in History from Brown University and a Master’s from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. In his free time, Jake enjoys listening to and debating music, complaining about the New York Mets, all-season bike commuting, playing tennis, and generally spending time outdoors.
